Perfidious Oracle
Erik Uden noted some disquieting statements by Oracle's CEO Larry Ellison, and shortly after found his Oracle account terminated.
Reading the full fediverse thread doesn't paint a better picture.
I can't imagine doing business with a company that deletes a database account, then refuses to elaborate on what has happened to the data.
And I can't constructively guess what lead to this event. Eric Uden is well-known on the Fediverse, meaning he's actually quite obscure. Was Larry Ellison wandering Mastodon, wondering what people say about him? Does the PR team look up the company's rep, and then report back to Larry saying 'sir, a man on Mastodon was mean to you'? I can't imagine a sensible history.
Perhaps the real history is simply nonsensical.
